Reveal - The Prairie Girls Vintage Market Postcard!
I'm so happy to reveal the market postcard for Tanya, of The Vintage Verandah and Leah, of The Olde Farmhouse, who, together are combining their talents and love of all things vintage and shabby with the launch of The Prairie Girls Vintage Market!!! With both of these ladies already having successful markets and businesses individually, they are sure to be doubly successful in their partnership as The Prairie Girls.
So, on September 20, if you're in the area of Cochrane, Alberta, check out The Prairie Girls Vintage Market where I'm sure you'll find an array of treasures to take home with you!!!
Wishing these ladies much success in their joint venture together,
Dee :)
The Deesign Project - to create a market postcard that is full-colour, double-sided to help promote the first (and hopefully first of many!!) The Prairie Girls Vintage Market. Font choices, colour and imagery all help to set the tone for this new market.

Revised Business Card for Janay Legge
In my design sphere of graphic design I've been revamping a good friend's business card. Check out the new biz card for Janay Legge of Janay Legge Designs. She has a very keen eye when it comes to design, so I'm so glad she loves her new card!
Dee:)
The Deesign Project - to take Janay's old business card and breathe new life into it. Working together and utilizing Janay's old card as inspiration I made her new card more graphic and visually appealing. Who doesn't love turquoise!
You can find out more about Janay and her beautiful, one of a kind wrap bracelets on her blog —http://janayleggedesigns.blogspot.ca/ or her FB page —https://www.facebook.com/JanayLeggeDesigns! I own a couple of her bracelets and they are gorgeous!

Spring has sprung! Getting ready for summer...
It's been a while since my last post, but I've been busy working away outside in my garden and yard. It's that time of year! Clearing out the weeds and dead bits of plant materials to make way for upcoming plants and the beauty they reveal as they grow and bloom.
A midst all this beauty I've been attempting to revamp an old patio set we have owned for several years. Despite a bit of rust, the chairs and table are in good condition. So, I've been going to town spray painting the chairs and table to rejuvenate them and give them a new lease on life! I've found a product that is in an oil-rubbed bronze finish and can be applied to metal, wood, and plastic! Needless to say, I've fallen in love with this product!!! Pictures to be posted momentarily....LOL! It's a work still in progress. I've already bought some beautiful red cushions for the chairs. I'm so excited to have the project done so I can sit back and relax in one of my "new" chairs and sip on a nice cold drink!
Next project...I've already bought a sample pot of Ce Ce Caldwell's Myrtle Beach Sand paint to revamp a side table in my family room and some clear wax. So, stay tuned! Before and after pictures to follow!
What spring design projects are you working on? I'd love to hear about them!

Mark your calendars for June 14, 2014 for The Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market!
The Deesign Project - starting off with a beautiful vintage floral image we found that Leah and I LOVED was my jumping off point for this version of The Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market.'s postcard. Drawing from the colours of the vintage floral and adding a distressed overlay screen with a twine detail created a beautiful vintage vibe market postcard that Leah loved.
With over 55 vendors gathered together at the barns at the Albion Fairgrounds in Maple Ridge for a day of "Junking" — Antiques, vintage, collectibles, handmade, jewelry, farmhouse, re-purposed, re-finished, shabby chic, The Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market is sure to be another great day for junkers and collectors!!! Only a $5.00 admission (children 12 and under are free) and with plenty of free parking — you must mark your calendars for Saturday, June 14 9am-4pm to take part in this special treasure fest. If it's like Leah's other markets, you'll be sure to walk away with a special and unique items! I know I always do!
